Depends on the area...if theres tons of aoe I tend to prefer disco even thoguh you can space out the spirits I just like to not have to worry about it as much. In areas with tons of hex/condition removal disco isn't really an option now is it?
Also depends on what char im on as im to lazy to rune out heros for both on all my chars xD |

Spiritway wins in every area that doesn't have a ridiculous amount of corpses(ie vizunah square).

Spirits can be really useful in body blocking the AI.

Spiritway by a long shot unless there are highly unusual circumstances, like Vizunah Square (as noted above)*. Discord really only produces 100DPS (plus a bit from the MB), which isn't at all remarkable.
*Though this is more of a case of not using Spiritway rather than using Discord. Vizunah Square encourages dual MB, but this doesn't mean you need to plug Discord into the elite slots.

Depends.
Discordway, since I did play with a friend of mine. 6 discord heroes make + our own skills makes sure that everyone dies within 2 seconds. Discord is always ready and does not have the recharge of the spirits. Spiritway when playing with my own Rt is another thing, since I can get my spirits to travel with me to speed things up a bit. I also agree with the WiK part of spiritway being much easier to finish the quests and assasinations. Also the monks in WiK have very good hex removers that have AP removed before the cover hex has been placed. |

So... it comes out about equal in areas with masses of corpses where strong aoe isn't really necessary? I still have a general preference of (modified) sabway even over discord. The only thing I think discord really has going for it is that it is cheap and easy to set up on new accounts/characters. New characters can set up discord almost immediately by grabbing Olias and MoW, and subbing Gwen for Livia until you're ready to go farther into eotn. Vs a new character can never set up spirit way correctly since Razah is at the end of NF, and Xandra is in the annoying norn tournament. Unless you already have a well skilled rit, spiritway means buying a ton of skills, including two elite skills that require playing most of the way through two different campaigns to cap. Discord you only have to buy one elite skill (Discord), and a handful of skills that are mostly repeated through the bars (like MBaS). Its an effective build to give a newbie player for learning HM (or just the game) because it has lots of protection to cover their clumsiness until they can graduate to better builds, and it teaches them to call/follow calls. |

i have used them both and they are both fun. Bunch of spirits and a aura of the lich MM hero put up a pretty nice blocking wall for incoming mobs

Spiritway for me, possibly not as good as disc if a lot of corpses as mentioned above. But tbh id always go for spiritway, the DPS is far superior except in very specific situations.

Spiritway.
Spirits + Hench > Disco + Hench If your playing with a friend and want a team set up real quick, I would go Spirits + Disco Edit: Personally, I think the SoS Rt hero in that build heals almost as good as a N/Rt healer. Last edited by NerfHerder; Aug 30, 2010 at 04:43 PM // 16:43.. |
